Physical Description

The head is of sankaky yari form, with a red lacquered groove. The shaft is of oak, of round section having the upper part covered with long rectangular pieces of raden set lengthways in black lacquer. There is an upper mount with shaped edge and inome, and below that three rings. The hand-stop is of red lacquered rattan.

Dimensions

Dimensions: The head is 140 mm long, the tang is 150 mm. The total length of the shaft is 1810 mm, the upper 340 mm is covered in raden.
