Blade
Is of typical naginata form, the forging obscured by rubbing.It is fitted with a niju habaki of copper.Mounts
The oval shaft is of oak, black lacquered in the upper part and bound at intervals in this section with red lacquered rattan. There is only one upper mount, of plain copper with a straight lower edge. The shoe at the end of the shaft is missing. Plain black lacquered scabbard.
