Found, unnumbered (with VII.2978), in Assistant Curators' cupboard, New Armouries, Room 5, 5th December 1990 (registered 21/05/1991).

Physical Description

Steel fork with two flat-sectioned 'tines' made as one piece in the form of a U with out-turned tips. A tang, for insertion into the haft or handle, is joined to the U by a short shank, of roughly square section nearest the tang. Condition: surface heavily oxidised.

Dimensions: Overall length: approx. 385 mm (15.2 in.), width across ends of 'tines': 305 mm (12.0 in.)
