Physical Description

Straight, wood-lined, brown pig-skin scabbard stitched down the front edge. Flared, plated mouthpiece, fitted inside mouth, and deep leather chape with asymmetrical shoe. Strap for frog-suspension, with 'button-hole', sewn to a transverse band which passes round the scabbard, and which divides at the front to pass either side of a transverse, raised rib, thus securing it.
