It is black from the hammer and filed. The breastplate has a low neck, a medial ridge and a point at the waist which has a wide flange. The main edges have plain inward turns bordered by single incised lines, but with recessed borders on the tassets. At either side of the chest is a swivel hook and pierced stud for the shoulder straps. Joining the tassets to the flange are four hinged hasps permanently attached, round, pointed at top and bottom.
