Physical Description

It is formed of a lower cannon joined to two lames of a couter.
The lower cannon is of tubular form, tapering slightly to the wrist. It is formed of a front and rear plate, joined at the rear by a single internal hinge and fastened at the front by a sprug stud. The lower edge has a plain inward turn bordered by double incised lines. The upper edge of the front plate, where it is cut away, is concave to accomodate the inside of the elbow, and has a similar turn and border.
The lames of the couter are connected to each other and to the lower cannon by a single column of rivets at the front and rear. The upper lame has rivet holes for the attachment of the couter. All subsidiary edges have a central cusp at each rivet, bordered by double incised lines. the lower part of the cannon has traces of red paint. Painted black
