Physical Description

Leaf-shaped head with central rib. The weapon is fitted onto the pole by a socket, and two and a half inches below the spear-head is a cross-piece composed of two lug-shaped pointed projections set in the same plane as the head and extending on each side.

Inscriptions and Marks

On the face of one of the lugs is the mark of a four petalled flower. The staff is stamped with the mark MA 1610.
