Physical Description

The axe-head and fluke are small in relation to the length of the spear-point. Both the axe head and fluke are pierced with a heart shaped motif. The halberd blade is attached to the staff by means of a socket base and a pair of langets. At the base of the socket is a crosspiece each arm of which has a profile like that of a chess pawn and is positioned at right angles to the plane of the blade.
