Physical Description

Later adapted to funerary use. It is a pair to the right gauntlet III.3782.

Medially ridged cuff, of flared and pointed form. File-roped inward turn accompanied by a sunken border divided in two by a plain raised rib. Six metacarpal lames overlapping upwards. Knuckle-plate has raised plain rib. Four sets of downward-overlapping scales decorated with central, V-shaped nicks. Thumb defence of four downward-overlapping scales attached by wire. Black in colour with substantial traces of gold paint.

Inscriptions and Marks

none. It is conceivable that the two shallow dents in the inside of the wrist-plate represent marks.
