Physical Description

The hilt is of eared form, of ivory with an engraved silver strip and binding at the shoulders of the blade. The blade is single edged, with a forward curve and a double fuller.


The scabbard is of wood completely covered in silver embossed with trophies of arms and roccoco ornament.

Dimensions

Dimensions: The length of blade is 278 mm, the overall length being 400 mm. The scabbard is 332 mm. Weight: The weight of the dagger is 0.2 kg, the scabbard weighing 0.15 kg.

Inscriptions and Marks

What may be a silversmith's mark is struck on the back of the scabbard just below the suspension loop.
