Physical Description

A percussion sporting rifle converted from wheellock. The barrel is octagonal with script G.K. or G.B.and a poincon with a swan under IP (?); leaf and peep sight. Large lock plate of wheellock form plain and with cock internally mounted and the pan fitted with nipple and drum. There is a hair or set trigger.
Full stock with some simple carved decoration, deep cheek rest and metal butt plate with button butt trap with sliding lid in three pieces . Broken trigger guard ; 3 ramrod pipes; wooden ramrod . There is small curved arm mounted to the rear top of the lock. The butt stamped MA1207
