Physical Description

Octagonal barrel with slight swell at muzzle and with 7 grooves, Front sight and adjustable back sight and at the breech an illegible signature and L(?)668. The lock has been converted by the drum and nipple system. The stock has a separate fore-end, 2 ramrod pipes and a fitting for a butt mounted sight. Contoured trigger guard and chequered stock with a strongly curved butt plate. The butt is stamped MA1198 and plastic tag has 874. Cheek rest and there is s square inset in the butt and there is some simple incised scroll engraving
