Physical Description

It is roughly hemispherical in form andis made of an upper and lower portion brazed together around the crown and from the crown to the nape. Its lower edge has been subsequently cut with pairs of crude slides at the front and at either side of the rear, each with cropped corners at the lower edge. The lower edge is plain and is bordered by thirty five lining holes, above which at the brow is a horizontal rectangular slot. Between and level with the tops of the slits at the right rear is a circular hole possibly for securing the upturned brim of a hat. It is painted black overall. There are three deep sword cuts at the centre of the skull.
