Physical Description

The cuisse is of one plate, the poleyn comprising a main plate with one lame above and two below. The upper edge is the cuisse has a roped turn with a sunken border, in which are two rivets retaining a possibly contemporary strap, plus another rivet hole. The main edge of the poleyn has a roped medial ridge, and a heart shaped fan with a roped turn at its edge and a transverse incised line. The lowest plate has a sunken border, with a keyhole slot at the right and two holes at the left, the smaller to the outside.
