Physical Description

It has a low neck, a medial keel and a broad flange at the waist widening to a point at the centre. The main and side edges have plain inward turns, bordered by 28 domed headed lining rivets of which 1 is missing, and by small homes for sewing a leather binding. At either side of the chest is a mushroom-headed stud for the shoulder straps. The surface was bright but is corroded and varnished.(Acquisitions register lists as French, c.1810)
