Physical Description

The flat rectangular receiver has a round receiver ring, and is marred overall with panels for engraved porations. On the left side of receiver is WESTLEY RICHARDS & Co. LONDON, on the left side of the receiver ring 1211 and Birmingham view mark, and on right side of receiver, DEELEY-EDGE PATENT.
Underlever action operated by depressing the lever beneath the guard bow, which drops the block, operates the extractor, cocks the action and sets the thumb safety catch along the right side by the trigger.
Two piece stock, the fore-end retained by one slide with engraved oval iron escutcheons. Black horn fore-end cap. Chequered fore-end and full pistol grip, the latter with plain rounded end. Chequered iron buttplate with short rounded tang.
Full octagonal blued barrel, the top flat full-length matted. The left flat of the barrel stamped ahead of receiver, 1211 and 320. Long bead foresight on base dovetailed into barrel. Block backsight with one leaf hinged forward, graduated for 50 and 100 yards, dovetailed into barrel
