Physical Description

Peascod form, flanged at the waist, roped inward turns. Decorated with three broad bands of etched decoration flaring from either side of the centre and narrow borders etched with scrolling foliage at the side and arm edges. The main bands include a figure of Mars at the centre of the chest above a winged putto amid various other Grotesque motifs on a stippled ground with a central winged cherub's head.
