Physical Description

The barrel is hinged at the breech and drops downwards for loading in the same manner as the last, being released by a lever just in front of the trigger-guard. The barrel is chambered and takes reloadable steel cartridges each with pan and frizzen, four cartridges being preserved with the gun. Back-action Lock with flat, bevelled lock-plate, the latter inscribed London. Short fore-end with horn cap. Steel mounts these and the lock being engraved with well executed scrollwork and foliage. Trigger-guard with finger-rest. Short ramrod with horn tip for reloading cartridges.
