Physical Description

Blade
The blade is of shinogi zukuri form with tori zori and ihori mune and with slight fumbari. Hamon is suguba of nioi with some nibbled irregularities. It seems to run off about 100 mm above the ha machi
The tang is long with only a slight taper, ubu and mumei with one hole and diagonal file marks. The end is ha hagari
Mounts
Scabbard is of brown lacquer sprinkled with pine needles in red lacquer. Horn kojiri and kuri gata
Hilt is of wood covered with poor same and bound with black silk braid. The fuchi gashira are of shakudo nanako with nobles under a pine tree on the fuchi and parts of a house and clouds on the kashira. The menuki are dragons, in shakudo with gilt eyes. The tsuba is octagonal, iron and of nanban design with two adorsed dragons with a tama between. The tsuba shows traces of gilding.
