Physical Description

The heavy brass discharger cup is fitted to a short steel barrel which bears a mark at the breech
Lock with rounded cock and lockplate, the latter engraved on the tail with the Royal cypher interlaced and crowned. There is no bridle for the frizzen pivot-screw. Top jaw and jaw-screw restored.
Stock with shoulder-butt; brass mounts; the trigger-guard made for a musket, the front pillar being pierced for a sling-loop; this has not been used, a separate loop being fitted to the fore-end and another to the butt. The scutcheon plate is engraved with the monogram P.E
