Physical Description

It has a convex upper edge and a slightly concave lower edge. It has been curved to fit the upper end of the lower cannon III. 3507 to which it was attached by a round-headed, brass-capped rivet at either side. At the upper edge of the lame, immediately above each of these rivets, is a further rivet of the same type. The right one has an internal square washer, while the left one has bothe an internal and an external square washer. The centre of the lame is pierced with a pair of holes, possibly for rivets that originally held an internal connecting leather. The lame has been deformed just to the left of these holes.
