Physical Description

Barrel rectangular at the breech which is vertically pierced with an oblong opening in which fits a falling breech-block which is released and secured by moving the trigger-guard.
On the underside of the breech are stamped the mark of the maker' Deschamps' together with another mark. (see marks cards). Back-action lock engraved with the name of the maker 'Rives A Paris'. The cock is not the original.
Stock with short fore-end, the butt has leather cheek and shoulder pads.
