Physical Description

Painting in oil on canvas (relined), of a man, wearing a green coat and waistcoat and a black hat with a metallic buckle in front, priming his flintlock shotgun. The priming flask is a long oval and appears to be of horn, with a brass rim and nozzle: the flintlock pan cover and frizzen is bent back at a near right angle.
