Physical Description

Of 'short-waisted form' with a slightly raised, narrow neck, a medial ridge and a narrow flang at the waist. The neck and arm-openings have plain, inward-turned edges. At either arm-opening is riveted a mushroom-shaped stud to engage the shoulder-straps of the backplate. These have subsequently been driven in to provide wiring attachment points at the rear. Just to the left of centre at the belly is found a proof-mark. Each shoulder has been crudely-pierced with a later wiring-hole.
Painted black, cleaned 1995.

Stamped IL for the maker at the neck, cross of St George at the right arm, and 75 on the flange.
