Physical Description

Made in one piece and closed at the rear by an inward overlapping joint secured by two externally flush rivets. It is shaped to the elbow, expands into heart-shaped wings and puckers around the inside of the arm. Both upper and lower edges have a file-roped inward turn accompanied by a recessed border on the wings. A file roped transverse ridge, bordered by V-shaped grooves, runs from the start of the pucker to behind the point of the elbow. At the center front is a pair of vertically aligned, externally flush rivets, the internal heads of which are lost along with the connecting leathers they formerly held. The rivets are probably replacements and have decaging roung external washers. Just to the rear of the point of the welbow is a single externally flush rivet which formerly held connecting leathers. Its upper and lower edges have been crudely pierced, at the front and just behind the elbow, with wiring-holes. One of the roped edges is bent out and slightly corroded, just to the rear of the pucker.
Russet with traces of black paint.
