Physical Description

The bore is unknown, a tompion is in place. The first reinforce is marked VR, the second reinforce is marked 4168 and Broad Arrow. On the chase is the monogram of the Secretary of State for War INDUSTRIA and JP (Jonathan Peel). The base ring is marked F.M. Eardley Wilmot who was Superintendent of the Royal Gun Factory at Woolwich 1855-59. The elevating screw is bolted to the loop of the cascable button. On wooden replica Field carriage
