Physical Description

Black iron hilt comprising two shell-guards from which a guard for the back of the hand curves up to meet the flat pommel: a scroll guard links the centre of the knuckleguard with the shell-guard outside the hand. A small quillon at the rear. The hilt is decorated with crudely chiselled lines.

Leather and wood grip.

Hilt similar to IX.206-12.

Two-edged blade, shallow fuller inscribed EN TOLEDO, and ord and cross
