Physical Description

Crescent shape, of gilt copper. The front bears the royal arms of george III between the GR monogram, surmounted by a crown, cast in silver and attached by bent pins which pierce the plate. Inside it is lined with chamois leather, glued in. Two suspension loops of green silk survive, each decorated with a green silk rosette where they are attached through holes in the points of the gorget.
