Physical Description

It is round shouldered, with a low neck and a deep flange at the waist. The main edges have plain inward turns, bordered at the neck and arms with single incised lines. Another single incised line runs down the centre. At either shoulder is a restored shoulder strap, attached by two rivets, and at either side of the waist is a restored waist strap and buckle. The terminal plates of the shoulder straps, pierced with three round holes for the studs, are original but the scales modern. At the right od the flange is a rivet hole for a belt hook, and at either end construction holes. At either arm is a small, square hole. The surface is black from the hammer, and filed vertically on the top half, extended downwards to a point at the centre, and hoizontally on the lower half. There is a little crack at the left of the flange.
