Physical Description

Long head with a single cutting-edge, convex, dividing at the top into a vertical spike and a forward-curved hook. In the centre of the back is a horizontal, triangular shaped fluke. All of a rough from the hammer finish. The large tapering socket is of a wrap-over form, the upper end open.
The wooden haft is a modern replacemnet.
