Physical Description

Fitted with later in-service features including extended magazine release, metal factory sights with 'U' rear sight, but lacks the extended slide stop specified for the issue L131 and of course service markings ('L131A1' over NSN where this example has the early Gen4 'Patent Pending' marking). May also not have the final weight of trigger spring fitted (confirm if possible). Marked in yellow paint with trials number C8.

4 were for S3 trials and 6 for climatic user trials.
This one is from the user trials.
The pistol is designated as the L131A1 for use by British forces.
Introduced alongside the RADAR retention holster system as a safety measure for users used to applied manual safeties.
