Physical Description

Post-production prototype for 1988 Environmental User Trials rebuilt to Build Standard (BS) 3 (A3) (see Raw p.154). 1987 dated production L86A1 remarked and retrofitted with lightened bolt carrier, double nested return springs, white nylon dust cover and safety plunger. Cheekpiece is black polymer instead of usual green. No carrying handle or sights fitted. 2nd pattern trigger as fitted from 1985. Standard A1 cocking handle, not the further modified experimental paddle pattern of handle seen on other examples.
