Physical Description

Browned finish with gold engraving all over in various leaf and bud design. Plastic grip with oval at top containing stylised letters FN. Ejector on right side. Serial number 554475 engraved in various places. Left side barrel engraved FABRIQUE.NATIONAL.D’ARMESdeGUERRE.HERSTAL.BELGIQUE. Just below that, on the stock, is a small engraving of a pistol with the maker’s logo, below which are the words BROWNING’S PATENT (new line) BREVETE S.G D.G. Proof marks on right side of rear sight, barrel, and stock in groups of three. Rearing animal over PV (Liege marks for nitro proof for rifled barrel and parabellum pistols), crown over G, and upside down flower with long stem (?) (Liege view stamp and inspectors mark for firearms “Perron”).
