Typical ZH29 rifle with long-stroke gas operation and sideways tilting bolt and laterally offset sights. Rear sight is graduated up to 1400 metres and is windage-adjustable by means of a knurled knob. Early example of disassembly via captive push-pins, allowing for breaking open for cleaning with full access to trigger mechanism. Rotary safety catch in front of trigger guard that blocks the nose of the trigger. Two position gas plug. With magazine and cleaning rod. NB that bolt holds open and requires a trigger pull to release, with a second pull to fire off the action. British markings appear faint, as though they were applied in the white.
