Physical Description

A scaled down version of the standard long-barrelled infantry musket. The lock as well as the Royal Cypher is engraved with the name of the maker GRICE and the date 1759. The ramrod which was wooden is missing as are two of the ramrod pipes and the sling-loops. For the creation of the Ordnance Gallery, Tower of London, 1978, the ramrod and pipes were added for completeness.
