Physical Description

Brass hilt with down turned quillons. A T shapped slot is cut in right side for the bayonet bar. The plain wide blade has single fullers on each side and an edge to upper and lower blade. The catch is distictive, being an improvement on the Pattern 1837 which now has a combined relaes catch and spring with no external screw.
