Physical Description

Date of haft (shortened) uncertain. The head consists of a small, narrow, leaf-shaped blade, of flattened diamond section, with a flattened spherical moulding at the base, decorated with eight incised lines arranged in four pairs; a tapering socket, also decorated with eight incised lines, arranged in four pairs; and two long langets, each attached to the haft by four rivets or nails. Remains of pointilee decoration on the blade.


Haft of wood, shortened to probably less than half its original length.
