Physical Description

Consisting of a front and rear plate, each of which deepens at the centre and has an upward-flanged neck opening. The main edges have a plain inward turn, the lower edges accompanied by single incised line decoration. The front plate has a keyhole slot on the right that engages a mushroom-headed stud on the rear plate, and articulates a later domed rivet on the left, next to an earlier rivet hole.
It is externally patinated and internally rough from the hammer. The left edges especially, and the front plate, have broken out. The rear plate has a scratch on the left side.
