Physical Description

It has a raised neck, rounded shoulders and a flange at the waist. The neck arm and flange edges have plain inward turns. The arm and neck edges are bordered by single incised lines. At either shoulder is the scalloped terminal lame and leather for the shoulder strap. In front of these is a pair of rivet holes for the original fitting. Low at either side of the waist is a pair of rivet holes for the original waist strap; one containing a flat-headed rivet. The exterior retains some of its original 'black from the hammer' finish and is covered in varnish.
