Physical Description

Black iron hilt comprising two shell-guards from which a guard for the back of the hand curves up to meet the flat pommel: a scroll guard links the centre of the knuckleguard with the shell-guard outside the hand. A small quillon at the rear. The hilt is decorated with crudely chiselled lines.
The blade is two-edged and straight with a short deep fuller each side.
The blade is inscribed SAHAGOM, and has a running wolf mark
