Physical Description

It has a wide one piece almond shaped skull with a short backward turned stalk at its apex and a narrow integral brim swept down at the sides and rising to a point at the front and rear. The brim has a strongly file roped inward turned main edge accompanied by a narrow recessed border. The base of the skull is encircled by fourteen holes for the missing lining rivets. Low at the rear of the skull are two holes for the attachment of the missing plume holder. It is bright. At the rear of the brim is a later crudely pierced hole, possibly for suspension.
