Physical Description

It has a high, one piece, almond shaped skull, with a short, backward turned stalk at its apex, and an integral brim, swept down at the sides and rising to a point at the front and the rear. The edge of the brim has a file roped inward turn, accompanied by a narrow, recessed border. The base of the skull is encircled by fourteen holes for the missing lining rivets and their washers. The cheekpieces are both missing. The front and rear of the brim have been crudely pierced with later suspension holes. Bright, patinated.
