Physical Description

Head formed as a three sided spike attached to the haft by two recessed langets by three screws passing though the haft and engaging in the opposite langet.
The haft tapers outwards gradually to the shoe where it is marked with a crown over 12 M and some other crowned figures. The shoe is in fact a ferrule, attached by short langets secured by a screw passing though the haft and engaging in the opposite langet, through which protrudes the end of the haft.
