Physical Description

With a raised neck, medial ridge and narrow flange at the waist. The edges of the neck and arm openings and lower edge of the flange at the waist have inward turns bordered by single incised line decoration. At either side of the chest is a pierced stud for attaching the shoulder straps from the backplate. There are no fittings for swivel hooks. On the lower right side of the chest is a shallow proof mark.
It is patinated externally, and rough from the hammer internally. Internally the medial ridge and the point where it meets the waist flange shows slight lamination.
