Physical Description

It has a raised neck, medial ridge and a narrow flange with a flat spot at the centre at the waist. The main edges have plain inward turns, the arm edges bordered by single incised lines. At either side of the chest is a pierced stud and swivel hook for the shoulder straps (the left swivel hook missing). These, together with pierced studs and swivel hooks at either side and at the neck (the stud missing), also retain the plackart, which is shaped to the main portion of the breastplate. At the left is a proof mark, which has been hammered out on the breastplate and plugged on the plackart. The exterior is bright. The microhardness is for the mainplate 187 Hv, for the plackart 192 Hv.
