Physical Description

Spear point head of triangular section, with straight sides tapering to a sharpened tip. It is formed of steel in one piece, with a conical socket and langets.

The two langets are short rectangular metal strips which extend from the rim of the socket, and are recessed into the wood. They thus fit flush with the surface of the wooden haft. Two rivet heads are used to secure each langet.

The wooden haft is of circular section. The butt end is reinforced with a conical metal shoe, secured by means of a pair of rivets set through two small langets
The haft has been stained, and the butt end is badly corroded and appears to have partially seperated from the wood.
