Physical Description

With a raised neck, medial keel and waist, dipping to a medial point, with a flange narrowing at the centre. The neck and arm edges are inwardly turned. At either side of the chest are holes for mushroom headed studs; part of the left stud remains in the hole. There is a proof test mark at the left.

Inscriptions and Marks

At the right shoulder stamped Cross of St George, and at the neck IL. The turned neck edge is marked by file cuts at the centre IVH, and the left of the flange, stamped 12.
