Physical Description

The head consists of a quadrangular spike with a blunt tip, joined to a socket which tapers towards the spike. The lower part of the spike is decorated with incised feathered lines. The corners of the spike near the base each have two notches. Raised lines continue from the corners of the upper notches swelling out to form ovals at the base of each side of the spike, each oval having a dot at its centre. The socket is decorated with wide ribs separated by narrow bands. The base edge of the socket is decorated with a series of nicks.
