Acquired by amnesty (6 March 1989).

Physical Description

The grip of the hilt is of moulded black bakelite and is waisted for half its length. The top half has six ribs. The tang is secured by a copper alloy nut. The small oval-shaped cross-guard is also of copper alloy (brass).
The blade, of stainless steel, is of flattened diamond section. One cutting edge is very finely serrated.

Notes

The knife lacks its copper alloy (brass) sheath. The sheath would have had a hole at its tip, for drainage. Other examples can be found in the Diving Museum, Lemmer, The Netherlands.
