Physical Description

Axe-blade with straight cutting edge deeply cusped on its upper and lower edges, at the rear a down curving fluke with reinforced point. Above the quadrilateral socket, with two langets which extend down the modern haft, is a rounded moulding and a top-blade of hollow-diamond section. Traces of pounced (or pointillÚ) decoration remain.


Dimensions: Length of head: 451 mm (17.75 in), length of langets: 464 mm (18.25 in)
